Every so often Gini, being a Naga, needs to shed her skin. All of it, skin and scale. This of course is a very uncomfortable time which makes for a grumpy, moody girlfriend. Amos is always grumpy and moody so having extra grump and mood makes for an explosive situation. Amos doesn't deal well when anger is directed at him, so he learned fast that arguing with Gini when she's shedding just makes him spiral into anger or depression. So instead he's learned to say nothing, just grab Gini and go to the spa. The steaming mineral bath, relaxing atmosphere and soft bristle brush make for a perfect day of getting rid of shedding skin.
