They're not cool at all but learning about them and the ways they worked and successfully sucked ppl in ,is in my opinion something everybody should learn about.
Because it un-mystifies this bullshit and prevents people from spreading all this false bullcrap you see leaking out of every corner.

Kind of unrelated but related at the same time. I don't get why people are praising the ones in WWII along with Hitler if they don't share the beliefs. I can understand finding them absolutely fascinating but I don't like them. Though I know Hitler was a very smart man, and he was a human too, a human who loved his wife and dog and laughed and dance and painted. So I guess I'm kind of neutral.
But the main problem I have with people is the fact that anyone calls a person a Neo - Nazi like it's a bad thing.
Not all Neo - Nazis are violent/ignorant/stupid/redneck/ or what have you. Though a few on here are quite... Weird. But I have met some who are very sensible and probably more open-minded and quiet about their beliefs than friends that don't even like Nazis.
So I don't get why they're treated like shit by people for something done generations ago. They aren't the same. So how is it any different than when the Jewish people were discriminated in Germany during WWII? I know they aren't being outright killed but it's still discrimination based on beliefs.
I don't get it. Maybe it's because my brother is one, so I can kind of see how they're just like regular people, though I knew that since I was like six, why don't other people?

I find them interesting, but I learn about them because when I was younger I was bullied for being part German and I would confuse people with all the ways Germans and Nazis are different. Plus it's a very interesting part of history.

My theory is that many of the victims that were killed or died by now, that had that Stockolme syndrom thing for Nazis, are in fact us who like Nazis in some strange sort of unexplainable way.

Yes, Hitler was a dope. They're fascinating, but not cool for the stuff they did. I've come across good "fan" characters before, and then some that were not so good. An interest does not equal support either. You can be into something, and not support it. I just think it has something to do with the extreme time everyone lived in back then. The way the Nazis are portrayed and described as being so "perfect" and at the same time, so rotten. With the fangirls, I swear it's how some of these guys looked and how they dressed.

I know I'm probably going to be crucified for this, but I find their symbol to have a very interesting history. It wasn't originally their symbol but it became associated with them. The Swastika can be seen as far back as they Egyptians, and was a sign of great power.

I guess that the thing about nazis is that they are, in my opinion, the biggest villains ever in history.
Asking what makes them cool is exactly the same as asking what makes people enjoy watching villains in a TV show: it's not about cheering for them and wanting hem to win, is about loving to hate them. Nazis, like other villains, are so horrible that they make you wonder just what could have possibly made them that sick -- in other words, they're interesting. I mean, come on: they're perfect bad guy material and inspiration for fiction AND they're so fucked up that learning about them (and how they got fucked in the end) is so cool that I actually paid attention to WW2 history classes XD
In other words, yes they ARE dweebs - I tooooootally agree
But learning about them and watching them get fucked again and again in movies is awesome!

I have to admit alongside with everyone else here that Nazi's are interesting to learn about, but I'm not going to go along worshiping them or anything, they really did horrible things. ;n; Nothing is even cool about Nazi's, I could rant on forever about what they have done, and when I see people drawing themselves as Nazi's or just going on about them as though they were the coolest thing since sliced bread it's just....Really? REALLY? Is all I can say. Bravo for yet again another awesome stamp.

I find World War II the most interesting war to learn about in school. In the eighth grade I did a report on Pearl Harbor for History, and I have never worked so hard or learnt so much from a report for school.

I agree, I'm so excited for our unit on that in my 8th grade history class next year. We watch the movie Pearl Harbor and everything. We also get to do some genealogy project, which is cool.
