Description
The Vortex Spider is a curious species that is believed to have descended from a group of tarantulas that were accidentaly swallowed up when a dimensional gate opened up in a zoo.
They mainly hang around dimensional anomalies trying to pretend that they don't exist or, if that fails, that the rest of the universe doesn't exist, to hide their failure.
They live off portal jargon, the scientific name for the random peices of theology that dimensions create to pass the time, by cracking it open with their toughened claws.
Despite their fearsome appearence they don't present any threat to mankind, unless they wanted too. Scientists believe that they could play havoc to our eco-system if they ever made it back to Earth. Fortunately no one worries because no-one knows they exist, not even me, and I'm the world's leading expert.

Ok, this is random. I know.

This picture serves two purposes.
One, I wanted an interesting piece to test out our new scanner on.
And two, I was listening to the song 'Tarantula' on the Pendulum album I got yesterday and really wanted to draw something hairy with eight legs but realised my Dad probably wasn't picture material.

THe Vortex spider was made by me, not that anyone would want to steal that load of rubbish.
