Description Yes... Autumn fades in the northern hemisphere of the planet Earth... Slowly... Into white... Into dark... Into the mystical realm of mighty winter...

Just like this rose... With the faint smile to a faint sun in her face...

I smell the scent of burning wood in a fireplace, while the vision of an unborn winter from my small wooden window fills my "inner-eyes" with tears of "a sad feeling of excitement"... The faint perfume of a lover, gone, long ago, suddenly fills the room for a half-minute... The room seems to get brighter... And then, the scent of the lover fades... The brightness fades... The shades and the light of fire dance wildly on the old furniture, the persian carpet, with the faint howl of wind outside... For a moment, The Sun's beams of light find their way to reach The Rose, breaching the furious army of silver dark clouds of rain... The Rose, almost shines with hope, with happiness, with love, in that very little time...

...And then...

The Sun fades...

The smile on the face of The Rose, stays for a few howls of the wind...

A petal falls from her, so silently onto the table outside, then blown away, onto the silver-green paved stones of the garden...

Colours of all shades of brown, dark orange, black, silver grey and dark green, dominate the world...

As the cold rain begins to hit the windows of my mind...

Thank you for viewing...

May you live in light...

I LOVE the discription and the picture. it's very melancholic. It just goes very well together.
But it's sad, so very sad... Heartbreaking... Like a dark cloud sinking over my mind, leaving very little room for light... but in that light, there's your rose...

something about this is ... depressing... i dont mean its a bad picture... its depressing in the way that when you look outside on a rainy day... you just feel like you have less energy then you would on a sunny summer day....
i love how you captured the delicatness of the flower

It's wonderful to share mutual feelings... I think I've just hit the spot, after I read your comment...

By the way, do you comment on every single new deviation you see on your devant watch folder, like this??

I like the beginning best, "Yes... Autumn fades in the northern hemisphere of the planet Earth... Slowly... Into white... Into dark... Into the mystical realm of mighty winter..."

The rest is ok, but... to be truthful - i'd not lie and I would never want to hurt your feelings... the rest might be best under a literature post. You will lose your audience with too much verbiage with a photo post. - that's my opinion. I think short and sweet are best for a photo - to highlight how you feel. If you are inspired to write based on a post, then post the prose under literature with a link to the photo. Again, my opinion.

Being someone who is uni-lingual (is that a word?) I admire anyone who is even willing to try to write prose in a non-native language. Acutally, I do speak 2 languages... mediocre english and bad english... oh well...

If you want to talk more on this, you have 2 ways to reach me...

That is just wonderful to hear!!!!

So, you liked it, as a work of literature??

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

91stang In reply to kharax [2005-11-19 23:53:22 +0000 UTC]

Yes, but the photo and the entire story were too much together - rather than fully highlighting each other, they distracted. But that is me - I'm sure others will like it the way it is. I know my daughter does not read any of the prose with the posts - if she want's prose, she'll go to literature. Me, I like knowing what the artist is thinking... how they see or feel about their work... direct, romantic, abstract or clinical... But it's like perfume... a subtle hint is sexy - too much is vulgar... I don't know - I've had a grumpy day - don't do anything based on what I say alone. Do what you know is right in your heart - your inner voice...

I feel the same with you, but I really don't care about the story-photo togetherness... The more important thing for me right now, is the quality of this micro-story...

And I think, as a single story, you liked it?
