These colors are so brilliant, I love them, and the model and props.
Only thing I would say is the lighting on the top of the frame is very neutral, and does nothing for the picture or motivation.

You're right about the lighting - This was very soon after I had gotten "real" lights and softboxes and hadn't started playing with them yet.
I just try and keep learning more, bit by bit.

Key light is the main source of light.
Fill light (softbox), is to take away the shadows, and make them softer. Experiment with the physical distance of this light too.
One more light (in the basic 3 point lighting), to put behind the subject, to backlight it and seperate it from the background. This is the harder one to place, since you have to hide it, or hang it.
Try bouncing the light off walls, or ceilings, or whiteboard, or color board...
I hope to see some lighting experiments soon; it's the most important facet of taking pictures. Without light, nothing get's exposed, so do not underestimate it.
