Description
The idea for this came from a cel I did for my sister a few years back...though instead of a planet, the background was a photo montage poster of a million butterflies ^__^Anyways...one of three new pieces I created for Anime Iowa [this weekend o_0 I hope I don't die]. So, Vash and Knives before Vash lost his arm with Gunsmoke behind them.
Inked drawing scanned and colored in Photoshop.

Finally found it!
This is the most beautiful Trigun art I've seen. It sends me into a world of dreams every time I look at it.
And the emotions are so strong and enveloping.

I really love the pretty contrasts of white and gray in their suits, it's just bold enough to stand out and not so much that it becomes gaudy. The lines here are very strong, their clasped hands are perfect...most of all, though, I love their legs and feet.

This is awesome, full of emotion. I think it speaks very well about how much they love and depend on each other but how there's a disagreement, too, that's hurting them.

Gorgeous. Perhaps it's the eye-catching colors, or the perfect balance of symbolism, but I've been staring at this on and off for hours. You are SO good at creating realistic expressions and emotions.

Very cool. They're definitely a sort of 'yin and yang', that's for sure. And it was a nice touch to have Vash holding geraniums, since most Trigun fans'll get the meaning behind them. I do like the wings in that they're not really specifically angel wings, but just sorta suggestive. Very pretty. I hope you make lots at the convention!

I've had an idea like this before. It looks great, though I'm not exactly fond of the wing-like things, the rest of it is beautiful. Good luck at Anime Iowa!

Ah....I kinda agree with you on the wings. But then I'm not an angel/wings/feather person...but I know a lot who are...now, if I could've recreated the thin paint look that was on the original I'd probably be happier with them. ANd I'm very fond of playing with the ying-yang idea when it comes to good guys vs bad guys....this was the only one that really worked with it though.

Vash has the flowers, and Knives has the gun [I'm so sad...even with a more peaceful piece, I throw a gun in the mix]...but I was trying to figure out what to do with Vash's hands when it hit that I haven't done anything with the geraniums yet ^_^ little light bulbs like that are fun.
