this is why I avoid naming things when I'm tired.
Was experimenting with expressions and it ended up looking like "I HAEV FLOWA YAY" to me. The inspiration was more of a 'sea elf' than a true mermaid, but then she got the full tail, and for some reason she has little animal noise with interesting markings... No idea.

It'd kinda make sense too. Elves seem to have more genetic variants than humans, too. It's not like you get forest-humans with twigs growing out their heads, desert humans with almost sand-like skin, or mountain humans with friggin' wings 'n shit 'cos that's the easier way to get 'round them mountains.
