The focus is intentionally on the path in the distance. It so the attention isnt solely on the girl but her surrounding as well. I focused on the destination rather than the girls journey so the surroundings would be given more attention.

This is incredible, a viewer feels like a maniac chasing the poor girl ^__^ the colours are also very atmospheric, which makes the situation a li'l bit sinister)) so why should one care about the focus) great job!)

But the focus was on the distance intentionally I it worked because its showing the direction the girl is travelling in and her intended destination (goal) which she hasnt reached yet. I felt that it also made everything a bit more mysterious and ambiguous rather than just having it focus on her.
