Khuzang, how long does it take you to draw a picture?

Took me a while to get this done because of the posing. Didn't get it right on the first couple of sketches until I was satisfied with this one. I was thinking of Dodger doing an arm bar on him but... I think it's too much xD

so... how many hours did it take you?
(sometimes i think i take too much time for my simpler art)

Yeah that happens. I did take my time doing this. I would say I got this done around 2 afternoons (roughly 12 hours maybe??) of just doing this while watching Shoutcraft Clan Wars replays xD.

12 hours.. that's about triple my usual time.
I usually just doodle on my notebooks because i still don't have a tablet.
Drawing with mice just feels a little off, so I'm not even gonna try.

It's possible if you do it in Flash. Line tool is your best friend in that program.

Do the sketch on paper then do the line art in Flash. That's how I used to do it

Got it. Any other tips you might want to give?
Oh and also, which tablet should I get first?

Hmm, the obvious choice would be a Wacom tablet. You're pretty much set with just a Bamboo (aka the now basic Intuos).

If you have the fortune of having those monoprice tablets [link] , you might want to test that out. It's a very affordable tablet alternative for the Bamboo.

When I got mine, I did some research. It seems like Wacom is the go-to company for drawing tablets. The model is a bit varied, though the the general consensus seems to settle on Wacom Intuous Pro M. That's what I got, anyways.
Tip for tablet, though - don't expect perfect functionality. The tablets seem to glitch up from time to time, so you might not get pressure sensitivity or actually may not work at all. There are, of course, fixes, but they aren't permanent and have to be done every time the problem occurs. Also, you have to have a pretty good hand-eye coordination. Your computer screen does not show up on the tablet. So basically, you move your pen on the tablet and you have to take note of your movement based on the cursor movement on the screen of your computer. Some people, like RedApropos, seem to have trouble adapting to using a tablet.
Also, line tool tends can be pretty good - it creates precise and digital stuff, but it's pretty tedious. What you have to do tends to be pretty repetitive and mindless. When I use the line tool, I get the feeling that I'm doing work instead of art. But anyways, everyone to his own.

G-got it! But um.. Which tablet should I start off with?

IDK, since I only have 1. From research, though, when I got mine, the general consensus seems to tentatively settle on Wacom Intuous Pro M.

I swear, your art style looks so much like the style of the Co-Optional Podcast Animated, the ones they post on Polaris.
