Finally got around to drawing something.I was gonna draw my NextGen characters instead but I changed my mind.
Alicorns
Their magic comes from their hands
They can summon their wings from their back
Unicorns
Their magic comes from their hands

Pegasi
They can summon their wings whenever they'd like, but their arms are what turn into wings (unlike alicorns). Also, while their wings are summoned, they still have thumbs
Earth
They're just like regular humans (and usually stronger than unicorns and pegasi)
This was mostly to demonstrate my MLP humanized headcanon. I kinda wanted to clarify (especially after making the choice to have Whirlwind's arm be injured in place of her wing in the human world). So, in the human world, Whirlwind did technically lose her wing (or injure it depending on your headcanon).

I recently came up with a similar idea to this version of Pegasi, except it was a lot more birdlike. And it wasn't an anthro/humanized pegasus, but a completely different species.

I think so. Now every time I see Starburst or any Pegasus a human in previous drawing, I think of Harpies from greek mythology. It's hard to get used to the headcannon.Β

something I noticed, and I don't think anyone else saw this but, the style you did them in is kinda-sorta like steven universe style. which leads me to my question: Have you been watching too much steven universe...? not that it bothers me but thats what it looks like and i would have been doing the same because i've been keeping up on the show too so i'm guilty too!

Hmm, I have to say cool idea, but I prefer the non-arm wings. After all, pegasi have all four mammalian limbs plus a pair of wings attatched at the shoulders, so why not human versions? Considering how ponies frequently manipulate objects with their hooves while flying, it's going to look pretty absurd to even see these kinds of flyers attemp that with their feet. Oh yeah, Equestria girls also went with the shoulder wings, too.
