Hey, I just had an interesting thought. Did Star's left eye go blind somehow? That would give her a good reason to cover it up like that.

Starburst has become my favourite Flashlight foal. You created a character with an interesting design and personality, plus it makes for interesting relationships (since she's like her mother's polar opposite) and her small stature makes it all the more challenging for her to fulfil her dreams. Loads of potential for stories.

Not sure I really like Star with an "Emover".Β I mean, if she wants to be a Royal Guard wouldn't proper vision and personal grooming be a necessity?Β I mean, we never see Shining Armor rocking a Mohawk.
The first look at these two pictures made me kind of feel like I was looking at a different character.Β It just didn't feel appropriate for SB to have such a 'punk' style.
That said, she's still your character.Β You draw her how you like her!

You definitely have a point, but I still must disagree with you. I think her new due shows that she finally got that chip off her shoulder and is willing to express herself. Besides, a helmet or even a hat is all you need get that hair outta the way.
Using Shining as an example doesn't help your argument either. Sure the guy isn't doing anything super ridiculous with his hair, but I doubt a legit CaptainΒ Of The Guard would grow his hair out past his shoulders...
And if you think about it, Star has always been kind of a punk. Not the traditional "Screw The Rules" punk, but the kind that's emotionally distant and rude.
That said, you're entitled to your opinion. Say what you must about her!
