2.  While the first song plays, write what comes to mind.  When the song ends, STOP  (You can finish the sentence you're on)
3.  Repeat with the next song, until you've written ten stories or story fragments for ten songs

1.)  Jealousy – Darren Criss

I looked out of the window. There must be more to this world than the grassy paths that lined the road. I picked up my phone. Should I text him? Apologise for yesterday? I stared back out the window. The rain started to get heavier.  I felt awful. Was I feeling guilty? I shouldn't have yelled at him like that.
His sister was pretty. He never told me he had a sister. When I saw them out together, what was I supposed to think? He hadn't replied to my texts or my phone calls and then I saw him out with a beautiful girl.
I looked at a raindrop slipping down. I realised something. I was possessive. Jealous.

2.) The Bitter End – Placebo

Her body felt light. She remembered back to the dark night when she thought she saw a figure in the trees, lingering high above her, watching. She continued to walk a little faster, the cold air sweeping her face. Footsteps became clear behind her, matching her pace exactly. She stopped. Panic swept through her as the steps stopped at the exact same moment. Without warning, she began to run faster as the steps behind her matched her pace.

3.) Love the way you lie – Eminem ft. Rihanna

They looked at each other with intensity. Her cheek burned like fire as tears streamed down her face. His face was full of anger. He was spilling apologies like they were regular occurrences. She had had enough. She ran into the bedroom, filling a suitcase with clothes, screaming at him.
'I'm leaving' she snapped
'You can't' he screamed at her 'I won't do this again'
'You shouldn't have done it now!' She yelled as she ran down the stairs
Anger filled him again. How could she leave him? She had no right. He ran after her, trying to grab the bag. When he caught her, he grabbed her waist, pulling her back up as she screamed. Throwing her on the bed, he produced a lighter.

4.) Addicted – Kelly Clarkson

Her heart cried. Why wouldn't he leave her head? His alluring smile, demon eyes. She couldn't think about anything else but him. He was always there. Where ever she went, he was there. WHY WOULDN'T HE LEAVE HER ALONE? She needed closure and he wouldn't let her have it. He was like a drug. She needed him, craved him and couldn't have him. She loved him and she was out of control. Why couldn't he let her? Just let her be herself, alone. He walked past her.
'Hi Erin' he said
'Hi Josh' she said, giving the impression she was normal.

5.) Creep – Radiohead

He watched her across the street. Her perfect hair, eyes, skin. She was an angel walking amongst us. He looked at himself. Dressed in shabby clothing. He could never match her. He needed her. He watched as she spoke to the boy outside the posh house. Jealousy filled him. He should be there talking to her. Smiling at her. Kissing her. He pictured it in his mind. The taste of her lips. The warmth of them on his. His desire was too great. He needed her and, by any means necessary, he was going to get her or else there was no reason for him to be on this god-forsaken earth.

6.) Guilty Pleasure – Cobra Starship

Olivia knew that he liked her. He was just sat there, looking at everyone dancing. The cool kid not out there. She walked over.
'Want to dance?' she asked
'Umm, nah, I'm alright' he said hesitantly
'I don't care if I'm a guilty pleasure for you' she said, grabbing him.
She dragged him to the middle of the floor where they started dancing madly. He wrapped his arms around her, his eyes focusing on hers.  They didn't give a damn about anyone else. They smiled as they continued to dance together. The cool kid and her. Together. He bent down. Their lips touched softly.     (Me: why did the song have to end there.....)

7.) Last Request – Paolo Nutini

They led there, held in each other's arms. The stars shone above them. Tomorrow, Brett had to leave for America and Hannah wasn't wasting one minute together. They hadn't said anything to each other for two hours, and it was bliss. They couldn't continue this relationship. Brett couldn't handle something so big.  Hannah turned to him and looked deep into his eyes. The wind blew softly through the meadow. Perfect.
She leaned down and kissed him. The sweet taste of his lips filled her mouth. She craved more of him and yet she didn't want anything to ruin this magical moment.

8.) Mr Brightside – The Killers

He was there. Looking at her. Why did she have such a desire to kiss him? A drunken night at a friend's party and now she liked him. Kyle turned and smiled lustfully at the girl stood beside him. Jayde filled with envy. But why? Because of one drunken kiss after taken a drunken friend home? This was absurd. She needed some sense knocked into her. She pictured Kyle and this girl, together, doing the things couples do. It made her stomach turn. Jayde had waited all day to see him and now she had. With some tramp. No, she was a sweet girl. Lovely, in fact.  But still a tramp.

9.) Damn You Look Good and I'm Drunk – Cobra Starship

The room began to spin as Tim got progressively  more drunk. He looked across the room. Penny was there, all orange with fake nails and hair extensions. She was actually kind of hot. In fact, she was gorgeous, despite the fact she looked like an Oopma Loopma. She was hammered. She stumbled over to him, wrapping his arms around him.
'Tim, Tim, Tin' she slurred, 'You're, like, hot'
He didn't think any more about it. He pressed his lips deep into hers. He tasted alcohol and cigarettes in her breath. He ran his hands down her back as she ran hers down his front.

10.) Mardy Bum – Arctic Monkeys

Pete walked into the house. Fran's face was like stone. Obviously he was in trouble. She started yelling at him. He tried to block out the abuse she was hurling and tried to think back to why he married her. The cuddles in the kitchen etc. She turned away from him and pulled a face. He came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her. She moved away, telling him he didn't care. Of course he did. Clearly he did. She needed to learn to relax and remember that he was there for her. Always there. Forever.
