For being just a sketch, I'd say you spent a lot of time on it and did a great job of shading! I like photography, too, but there's something about the time needed to do something like this versus snapping a shot, that makes this more meaningful - to me

It was much more than a sketch for the face, and then the neck is still very sketched
And i love both, and find that i love drawing more because of the time put into it, but i also love those photos you get like a sunrise where you put all the effort into getting to the place to take the photo

I take a ton of pictures, but I don't get many of those perfect shots. "Catching a few Rays" just happened to be the right time to be down at the beach as the sun was coming up. It takes a good eye and a good camera to get the shots like you do. I went through your whole gallery, by the way. And you seem to like all types of art, too.

I keep getting told i have the right eye for art, so i guess it must be true, which is just lucky

When i started this drawing i thought it was terrible and didn't seem right, but i kept going and was stoked with how it turned out...
So all i can say is trust yourself, always finish works, and practice...
