I find the Mega Bloks variation to be better for one main reason: detail.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are action heroes, therefore having muscles built on their mold further shows that.
I can understand, however, that Lego would choose not to do this because they have a universal minifigure model that stays the same in all their sets. Yet, when it comes to something like the Ninja Turtles, anatomical detail matters a lot.

the legos are better.
and i'm just saying that like some lego purest, they just look better preportion and not all...weird..
mega blocks look...very well detailed, but they look kinda weird...
ever thought of using megabloks mikey's chucks on lego mikey?
or are the handles too big that'll snap lego mikey's hands in half?

Yeah I just sold the Mega Bloks turtles.
When you put their weapons in their hands start to
show stress marks, cheap materials...pretty disappointing.
The Mega Bloks Mikey's nunchucks can fit in the LEGO one hands.

i think kreo might be lil cheap too, then again, i hadn't seen stretch marks yet.

The Mega Bloks are cheap material. When you build the sets, the
blocks don't even fit firmly as well. Yeah Kre-Os are as durable as
LEGOs, can't wait for the GI Joes.
