Emerarudo “Emerald” Neko (KICSter #6)

Height: 15 in (not counting his tail). Wing span is 18 in.
Age: 650 (which is like a young adult for his kind... about 27)
Birthday: April 25th
Birthplace: Sakura forest at the foot of Mount Fuji, Japan
Favorite color: blue
Hobbies: reading books, experimenting (chemistry), traveling

Fun Fact:
Em doesn’t like large amounts of water. He can swim, and he will take baths regularly, but if voluntarily placed in it, he will put up a fight. His disdain for water is one of the things that make him and Tammy very close friends.
The light in his orb can also be used as a night light.

Em is the only KICSter whose parents are both still alive and well. He was born with his twin sister Akiko on a night of a Blue Moon, which makes their bond and powers incredibly strong. Like others of their kind, Em and Akiko spent most of their childhood playing in the Sakura Blossom trees. They were taught the ways of their ancestors and grew up in a very Buddhist community. Em is, in fact, the only KICSter who is not Christian, yet he does not classify himself to any religion in general—despite his Buddhist upbringing and his knowledge on the existence of one Almighty God, Em enjoys thinking that he is a bit of everything. Due to his many decades of traveling the globe and studying cultures, Em has grown a fancy in every belief he has come in contact with. He does, however, admit that he considers Buddhism and Christianity to be his two most appreciated religions.

Like other Sakura Tsubasanekos, Em has a gem that sits in the center of his forehead. This gem is where he pulls his magic from, allowing him to cast various spells of healing and alchemy. Unfortunately, the gem is as much a disadvantage as it is an advantage—if it cracks or even chips, the Tsubasaneko will cease to live. While Em takes pride in being a defender and often participates in offense attacks with KICS, he remains aware that his existence is put into peril during a battle.

Most of Em’s magical abilities are unknown to the rest of KICS, but his most common power would be that of telekinesis. He often uses it when searching for a particular historical or spell book, as well as doing more than one thing at a time. His only offense attack that his friends know of would be the Orb Beam, which is when he concentrates most of his energy on sending a powerful ray of light from his forehead.

After nearly four decades of traveling the globe, learning most of the Earth’s spoken languages, reading several written languages and adapting plenty of accents from various countries, KICS has often considered Em to be the wisdom of the group. Although he does enjoy poking fun and making jokes about things, he is aware of his importance and takes it seriously. He is the one sought out when a portal is needed to be opened between Earth and another world. His small size has also come in handy when in tight situations, and Spike often seeks him out for guidance with his powers—Em knew long before Spike’s birth that he was to be the one from the Prophecy of Peace.

Em is the final official member of KICS, and enjoys emphasizing on others that size certainly doesn’t matter when it comes to using your head. He’s proven Cat Eye’s theories wrong on numerous occasions, which was enough to put him on the man’s enemy list.

Em can sometimes be a bit boastful and his teasing can go overboard, but he always apologizes afterwards. His stubbornness aggravates the others sometimes. He has, however, had a big influence on Buzz Bat, Spike’s best friend, and has been able to hold conversations with Tammy about matters that no one else could clearly understand.

His family life and background story is also incredibly important to his personality and relationship with his sister, but that is another story. XD
