Fun fact: Tammy is hydrophobic; he can’t stand water, unless its intent was to clean him. Being a machine, he would obviously sink, therefore traveling over large and deep masses of water frightens him. Small streams are easier for him to bear, but anything larger or deeper than that, Tammy will refuse to go near.

Of all the KICSters, Tammy is the most unique in his creation. As told by himself to Spike, Coco and Satellite as children, he was created by the one he refers to as his Master. He is the only machine known in history to not have been created by human hands, and he is also the only one who possesses a soul, which gives him the ability to communicate and have emotions. However, because he is after all, nothing more than a machine, his soul is much different than that of a Human or Cartoon; in the shape of a crystallized blue flame, it sits within his back tank, amidst the engine that gives him life. If it is removed from his body or even chipped, it ceases to give life, and Tammy becomes nothing more than an ordinary engine.

Tammy’s soul also provides him with certain abilities that often come in handy for KICS on the missions he embarks on. His two front wheels can easily flex and stretch, acting as a pair of gloved hands. All six of his wheels can also transform into any means of transportation, allowing him to travel through snow, mud, over water, through rough terrain and even through the air—anywhere off of the tracks save certain rocky areas Tammy can cross.

Known as the conscience of the group, Tammy is reliable and honest, never hesitating to aid his companions. He often gives Spike guidance when the porcupine’s confidence is frail, something which Spike never takes for granted. Tammy also makes sure that the group always works together, especially when times become hard for each member to see past their differences. Although he never yells, his whistle does come in handy when arguments erupt and things get out of hand.

While he cannot join his fellow KICSters on most over-sea missions—it’s difficult for him as a train to travel; that and his constant fear of water—Tammy does remain in constant contact with them, giving them advice and information that could come in handy. While the Professor Cat Eye does not have any strong grudge against the engine—he has even admired Tammy for his wisdom on numerous occasions—he does consider him a threat to his plans, especially when Tammy does nothing but plant hopeful words and encouragement in his teammates’ hearts.

Where Tammy’s boxy build prevent him from participating on every mission, his words of wisdom and guidance always come through.

Yay! This is the VERY first time I have EVER completely FINISHED Tammy's design XDDDDDDD Every time I drew him before this point, it was only his front. But even that changed over time. ESpecially the rubberiness of his wheels. That wasn't supposed to be possible at first.

But yes. Tammy hates water. He won't even go to the pool when Spike and the others go.
