I find that there's something a bit majestic in his pose and facial expression. Great job!

Sunlight is very irritating isn't it? Poor Piccolo.

On that particular day the sunlight isn't reflective of his mood. More on that when the chapter comes. It's still a very long way off!

Yay! You colored it! *snags* Again, wonderful job with the shading and the texture. I like how you made the background all sunny and happy, I usually imagine Piccolo gazing out at a star-filled night sky. ^_~

Hey, that's pretty cool! Never thought of it that way! ^_^
Is this a scene from a fanfic or something?

They both can be found at Fanfiction.net, Mediaminer.net and now at Nameksei.net.
Since they've been on Fanficiton.net the longest, I tend to refer people there. Not all the chapters for "Errant Exile" are posted at Nameksei yet, but I'm working on it.
Here's the link for my profile (and the stories) at Fanfiction.net:[link]

I like the shiny, actually. (I figure, hey, its fanart, its not going to be exactly the same styles. But you do what ya like.) Gorgeous coloring though, I'm so afraid to color anything for fear of absolutely ruining it and you did such a wonderful job. It seems like such a wonderfully nice day, little cool breeze...like how it is here, actually. The shading here is fantastic and the setting keeps its beauty about it ^__^ Love this, absolutely.

Actually....
It all depends on the fabric. And I rather like the shiny effect. I mean sort of goes with the picture and makes him stand out even more so.
I like it as is.
Good job

Thanks Akutenshi -- the consensus is against us, though! I'm going to take a look at it again and see if I can't tone it down a bit. It was the one area I was a bit "squishy" on and wondered if I hadn't cranked the highlights up a bit too high.

I agree with Velasa about the gi......but it's Piccolo on the BEACH, it just doesn't get any better. Unless he got wet >3 mwahaha!

ROFL -- all right, I agree with you guys on the gi. I'll tone it down! Hmmm, maybe I better look for the cord and unplug it :lauging:

Oo His clothes are a might too shiny... He's not sparkley-satiny smooth, ya know. The background and his face catches the all-present ambient light you see at the ocean on a clear day, but his gi is so extremely handled it's an anomoly. But as before, I love that cloak so much. I just wish he wasn't so shiny.

I was debating myself about the gi - if I went with it totally purple I was afraid it would be too much, too dark in too large an area. I'm still thinking about it though and its not too late to tone it down.

Yeah. If you've got a faintly lighter purple, that would work. But I'm reccomend using a seperate piece of paper to see how the colors look together before going to the actual piece.
