I know it's a coincidence, but I'm reading Franz Kafka's "starving artist" (I don't know the English title of the book, but that's a proper translation) at the moment. The emotions I had after finishing the story about the circus artist are exactly the same I have looking at this portrait. It's like asking myself "why is she looking at me like this?". It's quite confusing. That's why I really enjoy your picture. Thanks!

Kaftka really is hard to read.. But once you got the point, you'll start loving his writing.
By the way: I've just checked out your online portfolio. Your pictures tend to look like they're overexposed and you really seem to like symmetry, but that make your portraits really awesome.
I really like the simplicity of your work (both, in color and composition). The first image: just green and red <-awesome!
