Description
First of all, my apologies for being absent for so long. And so to start off a new series of cartoon art, I present my OC, Rhonda Roykirk as a German frauline celebrating Octoberfest. I myself have taken part in this nationwide celebration in Germany, having been stationed there as a soldier in the U.S. Army, lo these many moons ago.Traditionally, Octoberfest is a celebration among German farmers of bringing in the fall harvest. Today, Octoberfest is celebrated nationwide, but especially in the city of Munich. And its generally an excuse for guzzling gallons of beer, feasting on sausages, listening to oom-pah music and basically raising hell, but all in good, clean fun. (Medium: pen and ink, water colors).

Very sexy indeed, kiff. Kinda looks like aΒ sketch I did for my OC Buddy's story where she starts her own micro-brewery and makes labels of herself mimicing the St. Paulie girl like this. [The motto? "Buddy Beer: The beer for beer drinkers that like to drink beer."]

No, it's supposed to be a Reichsadler over a shield on the mugs.

It's obviously not a Star of David but I can see why ~Papriko asked the question. It's unusual to have shield motifs with concave curved edges like those.

I was hoping somebody would ask about that. The words,"Ein, Zwei, Drei, Gesufa," in German means "One, Two, Three, Drink Up!" At Octoberfest, or in your average German tavern, men would sit together at the table, lift their steins of beer, toast each other with the word "prost," then chant "Ein, zwei, drei, gesufa," then its bottoms up with the steins.

Wonderful work of art! But being a half-german myself I need to correct the use of language a bit.
The phrase goes "Oans, zwoa, gsuffa" in traditional bavarian slang.
In formal High-German language it is "Eins, zwei, gesoffen".
But nevertheless: I love the artwork!
