Description ANY COMMENTS ABOUT STAIRS OR THE LACK THEREOF SHALL BE NUKED TO THE SUN

So...um...yeah...since finally finished making the Walfas Base for Kouichi Kimura, my...um...favorite character from Digimon Frontier, a really nostalgic show for me and some of the Walfasavengers, I figured, after I've been tormented by the endless comments of darkness and staircases, I should make a tribute comic. The result is...um...I'M NOT REALLY SURE BUT IT INVOLVES MIND SCREW THAT IS NOT VERY CANON AT ALL! D8 Especially since I, for whatever reason, thought that 'Blumenkranz' from Kill la Kill really fit the tragedy of Kouichi really well and randomly put the lyrics inside this comic...my poor repeat button is dead O^O

I suppose I should detail into what Kouichi means to me personally. See, when I first encountered him, I was merely 5 years old, a naive young girl not sure what she should watch. Already at that young age, the show tossed at me an almost unheard of moral (that even now, as a teenager, I'm trying to decipher): the Darkness is not always evil. It stayed in my mind, though for many years I never remembered how, merely that Kouichi was the brother of Kouji, the Warrior of Light, and he was evil at first but then turned to become the 'good' Warrior of Darkness. It's only two years ago that I finally decided to revisit his story, and boy was I in for a feels trip. This guy has been nothing but the victim of bitter circumstances. His parents divorced when he was very very young, and he didn't know who his father was, or even that he had a twin brother, as a result. On top of that, his single mother had to take care of them by herself and overworked herself to the point of sickness, made especially worse when Kouichi's grandmother died. Speaking of which, that's how he found out he had a brother in the first place, and all he could do afterwards was just watch as his younger brother led a much happier, much more carefree life without him. No doubt, this made a very bitter and resentful boy out of Kouichi, yet his loneliness drove him to continuously try to seek out his brother so they could meet and be a happy family once more. And what happens when he finally gets the chance? He falls down the stairs and ends up in a coma! (*takes out flamethrower* I'M WATCHING YOU ALL) That is when his spirit gets whisked away to the Digital World, the resident Big Bad manipulates him through his emotions to take the Spirits of Darkness to kill his brother, and said brother has to go through hell and back just to save the brother he never thought he had.

Needless to say, all this, the appearance of a cool Warrior of Darkness, the character development and everything has brought me to quite a few interesting places in terms of my writing and leading me to many inspirations, like Persona 4 or the works of my buddies and . The fact that Kouichi is responsible for many elements of my works now, I think it's safe to say he holds a special place in my heart That, and...well...the reality of his plight. No matter what we think, the world is a fallen place, and sometimes, even if we make faults so minute to our eyes, the world will always return the consequences in spades. Or, in other words, even if something isn't your fault, the world will come back at you. We can do nothing on our own because we are helpless. And it really pains me to see people like Kouichi today, victims of circumstances who build up resentment, depression and emptiness simply because they've lost the way. It just makes the reminder even stronger that we have a bigger job than ever to clean up the mess this world is and restore it to...

...woah, when did I suddenly get all philosophical and borderline speaking of my religion out loud again?

Ah, whatever. For all the creepiness, symbolism and dark messages, I hope you all enjoy this little tribute. Oh, and if you're wondering why Koishi was in the last two panels, you will know in due time...

The forest dirt path was made by . Many other images were taken from Google and the actual show of Digimon Frontier.

Blumenkranz really doesn't fit this considering it's the theme about a woman power-mad and willing to go to such in humane lengths to rule the world she bets GENDOU IKARI for anime parent of the decade.

Actually the song is less about fitting the entire context of Koichi's story and more for something else which I won't say at the moment.

Then don't use it if it's foreshadowing and not used in some manner to accent the original work.

Ignore the previous version of this comment, it's been a rough day and I was in a relatively sour mood

My point though is that there's definitely gonna be some weird choices in this comic you won't agree with, but since this comic is really personal and made in one of...those moods, just roll with it. Artistice License and all that related jazz.
