I don't mind the sad versions normally, this last week just had a bit too much of the real variety.
I'd read some really good sad fic of these two though, when I'm in the right mood.

I the Library. With River. She just whispered something to him, and his face has this "holy crap, what the hell, omg, I have no idea what to do" look on his face. HOW do you practice that? I mean seriously!!!

Well, this is written via the Human Doctor's perspective. And no, when 10 became 11, the human Doctor didn't regenerate, since he has no regenrative abilities. 1 heart, 1 life.
