Description
Not every power-switch can be all butterflies, sunshine and little confusion. Not when power is switched between regular fairy and dark fairy that's half-demon. And this happened to Ciara - I almost pity her.

Story (B'cuz why not?):

Alina, to be honest, had completely no idea what happened. Ciara was holding this vivid, rainbowish gemstone one second, it started glowing another. And now, it was gone, like it never existed. But something was wrong. So very wrong. And then, Isolde spoke one second, world trembled next, and Ciara howled. She hadn't yelled, like a human would do - she let out an animal howl, and then flew up a feet above the ground. And then, and impact that threw Alina on the opposite wall, and sound of something breaking.
And Ciara, floating above ice spikes, blueish aura around her, and Isolde, saying something Alina didn't bother to understand.
"It hurts..." Ciara whimpered. "And the voices... God, it HURTS!"
"I know, I know it does! You must calm down, otherwise this power will burn you from inside!" Isolde said, calm as always. But there was something, behind heterochromic eyes, Alina couldn't name. Either shock or fear, or both, or something entirely else. Alina had no idea why there was a barrier around her, but she couldn't care less - there was Ciara, crying, bent in pain, breathing frantically.
"I can't..." blonde whispered. "I can't! Take it away! I...!"
Isolde caught limp body of a fairy just after she hit her in back of her neck.
"Wha... What happened?" Alina asked, shakily standing up.
"We apparently switched powers" Isolde said, looking rather amused at her open palm.
"But why Ciara did...?"
"Because I'm dark fairy. And half-demon. My power hasn't dark source, it has demonic, and it's even worse than dark. I was born with this power, it's mine and mine alone - and there's no one else in world of living that would be able to wield it. And Ciara, fairy born into light, definitely won't be able to."
"So what are we going to do?" Alina asked.
"Fix it as fast as we can and pray that this power won't cause damage that can't be healed. Her entrails can be mend, but it will be much worse if her spin, neural net or - worst of all - magic net gets damaged. Faster we fix it, less chance for her to be crippled 'til the end of her life."
Alina gulped.

Ashia once said I'm doing lot of dark stuff. Guess she was right (if by 'dark' you mean more realistic than rainbows xD)
