Look at it from seller's point of view - someone bid up to, for example, 600 and then someone want to buy it for 500 - what would you chose? To sell it for one who wants autobuy instead of one who gives 100 more?

haha sure Xd i only wanted to make sure. 
but when someone says autobuy and 2 hours later someone says +20 more i would give it myself for the autobuy price. because i think that is fair. i wanted only a special price and i got that.
but in your example: when soemone bids 600 before someone says autobuy i would do the same.

It works like that: when is already bid up to higher than autobuy, autobuy is unavailable. Btu when somebody says that he want to autobuy while price is lower, it's impossible to outbid it. Or it is, but only in case when this person won't pay in longer time (let's say 12h).
