An achingly lovely piece, and you really make us feel the cool mist in the wind, and the faint heat of the banked brazier that's not enough to warm her.
I'm afraid the wind directions are impossible--a stiff wind blowing the banner one way, and a faint breeze lifting a few locks of her hair in the other--
(Ah, I see Sevel also pointed this out.)
But despite that one error, you really show us how very alone she is, and how hard it is to hold her head high when she can see no hope.

aaah..a pang of longing when i see that..i loved that scene, i loved that place, and i loved how he was in the book too. I always liked it much better than the stiffness of minas tirith...
ps: on a belated note i noticed....is the wind pushing her hair back but hte flag to the opposite site? hm..
