Damn, it looks so compliccated. Makes me think I will never be able to learn how to use photoshop on my own.
Oh & by the way, the figure in this work looks so much like what I imagined in my idea. Like I imagined drawing something with a figure that looks like the one here.

this piece is...remarkable. The concept, so true as I myself have not so long ago lost my first love...though thankfully we still remain friends. I still hold on to tightly to him. Someday I might find the strength to let go. what is the word I am searching for...? that I might find the strength to let go of what I hold so tightly to...not irony I don't believe?

I must be retarded, for it took me 5 seconds to realize that was a human figure.. for some odd reason, I thought it was a snake about to eat a piece of fruit (don't ask).
No, that's not meant to put down your art.. I'm just an idiot is all. I really love the simplicity of the human figure here! This piece is all about symbolism, and you pulled it off quite well! This piece actually does seem to represent a person's inability to let go of the memories of their first love.
In fact, I'm experiencing something similar to this right now. Would you mind if I used this in a wallpaper I'm thinking of making? I'd give you credit an the wallpaper itself and everything.. but of course, you're not obliged to at all. Just know that it's a beautiful piece, and that I'm favoriting it! ^_^
