Description
This shot was taken at a jazz festival in Denmark.Post-processing:
- channel mixer - around 60% red, 40% green, 0% blue.
- shadows/hilights - some +10-15% midtones, no shadows, 60% hilights
- a simple S-curve
- USM, 150/1/3
- framing, which isn't too good - but hey
Edit: New frame and font, minor corrections and contrast changes.

Raw passion, thats what you've captured here. I have my own musical background, so I've seen this passion, seen how beautiful it is when someone gets so caught up in the music. Their music. really exquisitly captured here.
And as someone has already said, I love the double effect of this shot, its a beautiful moment that you haev captured, but at the same time, this shot is stunning as a piece of art in its own right.
technically, the lighting and contrast is really stunning. Just heavy enough for the picture.

This piece is amazingly powerful. Your composition really captures his emotions from the expression on his face and the tensed muscles in his arm. You can feel the passion he has for playing. Black and white suits this picture beautifully.

As a bassplayer myself, I can really see that he truly is into the music. The composition is perfect, and the b&w conversion suits the mood well, and the contrast has been executed to enhance the feeling just right.
The bass hes playing looks like a beauty of a bass.
I know you got a DD on this quite a while ago and all, but it truly is the highlight of your gallery.
