Wow I really like the style of this. It's really interesting. I feel the dark horse is more solid in it's proportions though than the lighter horse. I think it's something about the head and neck area.

It could be due to the black horse is based off my horse so I know his proportions, whereas I don't know the grey very well and I was trying to make the images resemble each animal~ But looking at it now I see what you mean.
