I do not know if I stray from your intent.  I see starving men who's sunken cheeks belie other days of food aplenty.  These aging warriors once wrestled for sport leaving their ears boxed and their noses bent.  The ensuing rooster necks put their age in their late 50s.  Entering civilization and finding the cost of the complexity the one in back sold his armor and finding the proceeds too little, they sold this time for this portrait to you.  Stoicism and distrust mark theim.  You've captured an essential moment of men, making their way.  Good work.
