This was actually a commission! Always fun when you get commissioned to draw your own characters XD I really love how it came out, it was hard to mail it away today ;_;Lue in a Kimono, not officially a geisha persay, just festive!

lol I am fully aware and informed. I meant not so much lue as a geisha, but simply her wearing the traditional Yukata, or traditional dress normally worn by Japanese girls to fairs and other social or festival holiday type events ^_^

Oooh, what a delightful picture! The pose and lovely curves make it such a bright, bubbly and cheerful picture, as if made out of sugar and stars :3
I am particularly fond of how the clothes fall, in the way that you can see the bend of her legs through the fabric, and the shading looks very nicely done :3

Your art never fails to amaze me, and even the thumbnail of this picture is alive. Lately I've been trying to sketch more and more pictures hat have real life (movement and angles) in them, and this is a great inspiration to me personally. Her kimono is one of a kind in this picture, like a captured moment on photo. This being said, it does not overshadow Lue and her cheery attitude. ^^ The shading is really spot on, not a cross-hatch out of place. *nodnod*
Someone really got their money's worth, I know that's for sure, because if I commissioned this I would be more than estatic. Nice work.

Aw thank you so much for the sweet and thoughtful comment! I hadn't drawn for ages before this.. I felt like I got a bunch of coopped up creativity out all at once! I didn't use a reference or anything, but I feel I just spent more time than usual on it because I wanted to get it just right. I also did some thumbnail sketches first

Ooh, I like the clothing a lot! Especially how you did the folds and stuff. The patterns are pretty neat, too; I think it's cute that you have the traditional Japanese mount fuji wave thingy mixed in with a bunch of shooting stars XD Her tail looks like it's a little too close to her body though; looks like she's almost stepping on it.
I think it'd look pretty awesome if you colored it X3
