This deviation is dedicated to all the people who only appear when I post fanart.

First concept design of an Operetta doll my friend is commissioning me to make. Monster High’s concept seems to be that while the dolls keep some element of their monster parentage, each doll has a personality and set of interests independent of their monsterhood that usually defines each doll’s distinctive style.

All of Operetta’s dark blue pieces of clothing would be knitted, including her cape, with the thin, sparkly blue yarn currently sitting on my art desk. Ideally her mask will be magnetized securely to her face, but exchangeable with other masks that would come in the so-called doll line. Operetta’s “skin condition” shape is based on common shapes found in Venetian masquerade masks, and will be the same pink as her freckles. Operetta was designed with a GB Draculaura as her base.
