Just to specify this is a scenario and not a prediction. I try to rationalize decisions in this with logic but at the end of the day if its in here it's because I thought it was interesting.

November 1, 2020 North Korea and South Korea officially sign a treaty ending the Korean War. Both President Moon and President Kim Jong Un state they hope to further integrate the country.

January 20, 2021 Joseph R. Biden is sworn in as the 46th President of the United States. He came into office with unemployment around 8%, a hostile senate, and a diminished majority in the House. Tulsi Gabbard is sworn in as the first female Vice-President. Biden’s early attempts at rolling back the 2017 tac cuts stalled in the senate when it was met by calls for spending reductions. Any attempts at bipartisan bills in the house were destroyed by the push for sweeping changes by the sizeable amount of progressive congressman.

March 20, 2021 Protests break out in Seoul over South Korean concessions to North Korea.

April 13, 2021 Stephen Breyer retires from the Supreme. Biden, in a hope of appeasing the left-wing part of his constituency, nominates Corelia Pillard. She is accused of being a far-left radical by Republicans. Mitch McConnell agrees to allow a hearing. She is voted down 55-45. Biden would make 3 more nominations during his term, all of which would be voted down.

August 2021- As the economy continued to recover from the 2020 recession Biden was able to boast a 6% unemployment in the 2nd quarter of his first year. Un the foreign field he was met with praise from much of Europe. He continued commitments to NATO while also continuing hostility towards China of the previous administration. He also oversaw a small uptick in manufacturing jobs from as a 2020 bill provided for incentives for companies to relocate manufacturing from China back into the United States. This was coupled with a bill sponsored by Senator Rubio that provided tax incentives for pharmaceutical companies to move to Puerto Rico.

September 3, 2021- While expressing outspoken support for NATO Biden due to the growing influence of left-wing populism in the democratic party. He embraced a partial isolation with regard to the Middle East. This was proven when Iranian forces bombed oil fields in Bahrain and the UAE. While Biden was willing to continue to sell weapons to Saudi Arabia he refused to move extra forces into the region and continued the trend of his predecessors by withdrawing more troops.

September 11, 2021 On the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attack dozen of attacks happened simultaneously around the United States. Dozens of Islamic terror cells blew up 100s of targets around the United States. All in all over a 1000 people where killed. The vast majority of the cells were from foreign agents. Only 3 of the over 100 actors where residents. The investigation concluded that most of the terrorists came through the southern border. While never conclusively proven it was heavily believed by the intelligence community that the attacks were funded by Iranian and Russian governments. The right focused on the Iranian influence and the left on the Russian aspect. In the end, more aggressive screening was implemented but no military forces were moved. Biden did however move away from his plan to end sanctions on Iran and managed to add further sanctions on Russia with European support.

September 28, 2021 Cuban and Russian troops move back into Venezuela to help prop up Madero’s government. Most Western Hemisphere governments condemn the action.

October 1, 2021 Banking crisis in Italy was met with indifference by Germany which was the final straw in the EU. Italy voted to leave the EU on October 5, 2021 Italy voted to leave the EU. Even before negotiations started Italy immediately started printing their own devalued currency. China immediately took advantage of the situation and began providing aid to Italy.

October 10, 2021 It is revealed that Kim Jong Un has been dead for several months. His sister Kim Yo-Jong officially take over the position as Supreme leader.

October 20, 2021 ‘Huthi rebels’ bomb the Saudi oil facility for a second time using an advanced drone. The extent of this attack is far more damaging taking of nearly 4 million barrels of production a day. Oil prices jump from $60 a barrel to $120. The United States caps the foreign export of oil to 500,000 barrels a day. This moved American crude prices closer to 75$.

October 30, 2021 The East African Federation officially drafts a constitution. The six member nations are Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda. The Federation as the potential to be a regional power.

November 12, 2021 The European banking crisis spreads has dozens of banks in Portugal, Spain, and to a lesser degree, France begin to fail. Portugal and Spain vote to leave the EU the same month. Both countries the new devalued Italian currency. Fearing increased capital flight in Europe most countries start putting restrictions on money transfers out of the country it only increases the panic.

January 29, 2022 due to decreased demand in Europe and continued American hostility China’s economy slows significantly that the country is forced to acknowledge a 10% constriction. A massive 500 billion dollar stimulus fails to fix the problem.

February 2022 Germany enters recession as it’s budget deficit begins to balloon. Russian forces take advantage of the crisis by moving troop into Belarus, with partial support form the government.

March 2022 The Chinses debt bubble finally bombs when a series of debt that has nominally been though to be backed by the communist government are defaulted on. The stock market is shut down, bans on wealth transferred are more harshly enforced, and the Chinses economy sees another 15% contraction.

April 2022 In response to Saudi Aire Strikes in Iran, Iran moves to close the Strait of Hormuz. The action is condemned by China and the U.S. but the Russians veto any action in the U.N.

May 2022 Strain on the world economy causes the United States to enter a moderate recession. Turkey, taking advantage of the disorder in the region, begins to crack down on the Kurds. Half a million Kurds flee to Europe in May. This becomes too much for Europe as several Eastern European countries vote to leave the EU.

June 2022 President Biden has a stroke and is removed from office by his cabinet through the 25th amendment. Tusli Gabbard is sworn in as the 47th President. In order to get Republican support for her replacement, she nominates Ohio senator Sherrod Brown to replace her as VP.

July 2022 Russian forces invade Ukraine. Members of Congress on both the right and the left call on Tusli Gabbard to match Russian aggression with force but she refuses.

August 19, 2022 A concerning trend starts in August as the treasury has a hard making up the federal deficit through bond sells. By the 19th the yield is increased by a whole point to increase demand.

September 2022 After a request from President Moon of South Korea Tulsi Gabbard removes troops from the Korean peninsula.

October 20, 2022 China in desperate need of cash unloads half a trillion dollars of American bond sending the dollar in free fall. The treasury is unable to buy up all the bonds and emergency legislation is passed that gives tax incentives to American investors that buy up the excess bonds.

The battle for the Republican nominee to that seat comes down to Jeb Bush Jr. and Donald Trump Jr. Both candidates are indorsed by formal Republican Presidents but Jeb Bush Jr. would win and go on to defeat Patrick Murphy for the seat. Overall the Republicans would increase their majority to 58 seats in the senate and gain a total of 296 seats in the house. Lisa Murkowski would lose her seat to Joe Miler giving the Libertarians their first seat in the senate. Minority Whip Chuck Schumer's seat would be filled by AOC. In other races, George P. Bush defeated Joaquin Castro in the governor's race.

December 20, 2022 An emergency section of congress is held in which a bargain is attempted to be made to deal with the increasing deficit. The Republicans agree to concede roll back the Trump tax cuts in exchange the Democrats agreed to a 500 billion dollars in cuts. Half come from the defense budget. The bill is projected to lower the 2023 budget deficit from 2 trillion to 1.5 trillion.

January 20, 2023 The East African Federation officially forms electing Paul Kagame as its first President.

February 19, 2023 The Ethiopian Renaissance Damn is destroyed by terrorists. The Egyptians are the number one suspect but deny knowledge. In response, Ethiopia begins cutting off water from the Nile. War eventually breaks out between the two countries. The US tried to mediate diplomatically but all efforts fail. Due to budget cuts, most foreign aid has ended.

March 12, 2023 DOW drops from 24,000 to 22,000. US economy worsens.

March 15, 2023 Iran invades Southern Iraq and Kuwait. Saudi forces form a collation with Jordan, Bahrain, UAE, Oman Egypt and unofficially Israel. Egyptian support is minimal due to their war with Ethiopia so the majority of the forces are Jordanian and Saudi. With Israel acting as special forces and air support. The U.S sales 200 M1 Abrams tanks to the Arab coalition. The price of oil on the internarial market reaches $170 a barrel.

June 20, 2023 North Korean forces begin bombing Seoul before nearly a million troops march into the country. America condemns the action but sends no ground forces.

July 30, 2023 Again unable to raise funds the treasury raises bond yields to 4%. Congress passes further cuts to the military. Republicans concede to a 40% tax rate for earners over 1 million, and 70% over 10 million. Democrats are forced to concede cuts to social security and Medicare for recipients with a net worth of 1 million dollars. The social security retirement age is pushed back 3 years for those under 60. The deficits are exacerbated by the mass retirement of baby boomers. Ironically this causes a massive decline in housing prices which benefited middle to higher-income millennials looking to buy a home.

August 20, 2023 As North Korean forces march through South Korea Japan changes its constitution and begins moving ground troops into Korea to stem the tide.

September 15, 2023 Growing tension over environmental policy forces Alberta to leave Canada. The Alberta government requests admittance into the United States. The Democrats concede on the condition that Puerto Rico also be allowed entry. Alberta is granted territory status but the two states are admitted into the Union after the 2024 election.

December 1, 2023 After defaulting on its debts again a military coup in Argentina takes over the government and begins to implement economic reforms.

January 10, 2024 The EU officially dissolves and the independent countries begin to form new alliances. France quickly becomes a dominant power. Gabbard announced plans to run for reelection as the Democratic nominee. Given the state of the economy, many think a replacement would be a better idea. Cory Booker, AOC, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, and Beto O’Rourke declare their intention to run for the Democratic nomination. On the Republican side Marco Rubio, Nikky Haley, Ted Cruz, Ben Carson, Carley Fiorina, and Don Jr seek the nomination.

March 2024 By March the race narrows to Rubio vs Cruz and Gabbard vs. AOC.

April 2024 Russian forces move into Estonia. In response Scandinavian and British forces began to set up a no-fly zone over the country. President Gabbard refused to send troops but agreed to send arms to Estonia. Rubio wins the Republican nomination after winning Indiana.

May 2024 Unable to criticize Gabbard’s foreign policy positions and under pressure for seeking the Presidency after being a senator for only 2 years AOC is eventually forced to concede the nomination to Gabbard.

June 2024 The Arab-Persian war escalates as Turkey moves further into Kurdish areas of Iraq. Most Arab-Persian fighting is happening in Southern Iraq. As Iranian facilities are bombed and 90% of Iraq and Kuwait oil fields are taken offline the price of oil shoots to $200 a barrel.

August 4, 2024 North Korean advance is stopped at Songnisan.

September 14, 2024 As Arab momentum reaches its peak a portable nuclear warhead (most likely supplied by the Russians) goes off 10 miles east of Nasiriyah, killing 25,000 Arab forces and nearly as many civilians. Both sides are cautious to move after the explosion.

November 5, 2024 The election is called for Marco Rubio by 8:00 after early results show him winning Pennsylvania and Ohio. By the end of the night, he would win a total of 370 votes. The largest victory since Bush Sr. The Republican senate would jump to an unprecedented 71 seats, flipping West Virginia, Virginia, Montana, Arizona, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Maine, Michigan, Ohio, and most surprisingly New Jersey. Due to the implementation of ranked-choice voting members of the New Progressive party would win seats in Washington, Vermont and California. Michelle Obama would go on to win Elizabeth Warren’s seat in Massachusetts.
