This brings the Suhurmash (the Goat-fish) of Babylonian mythology to mind (the basis of the constellation Capricorn). You made it suitably disturbing in two ways: the weird goat pupils, and the movement of the piscine/serpentile tail looks spineless, and thus nicely unnerving.

A frightfully weird creature. Love the whipping, coiling tail and the positioning of its legs. Makes it look like it's moving energetically. Also, this is an excellent mammal you've drawn. It looks so much like a sinister goat. Even the fur is impressive!
One thing I always loved about Lovecraft's work is how there are so many different kinds of bizarre creatures in his worlds. A lot of Chaosium artwork is made up of the same old boring tentacled blobs, but that's only a small fraction of his rich bestiary. It's great that you acknowledge even the most unexpected of creatures.
Speaking of which... I think I recall you drawing the three-legged crocodile-headed beast. Do you plan on drawing the black shaggy not-goat too?

I am very happy with it's dunamic pose. I was also thinking of the ritual scene from Horror at Red Hook. I doubt I will draw this one however, I always imagined it as some kind of disfigured satyr.. and I might draw more satyrs however.
