Description Monstrous hybrid from American folklore. I gave it the look of a stillborn horse fetus, as aside from being described as a hybrid monster, this creature was also associated with some mother drowining her deformed baby. (And because it was a good reason to draw another disturbing fetus-like monster xD)

here is a link to the Jersey Devil Video I made. youtu.be/nA4F5w4rnUg  It is not public yet, I will wait for the approval of you and the other artists involved before release. Please let me know asap what you think as this is the 110 year anniversary of the 1909 Devil Panic and there are several stories in the paper.  I would like to publish it very soon. Thanks Ted Ferfecki

I attended a lecture given by a professional on the subject, who had slides of the Pinies area where the Jersey Devil is said to still prowl. One showed the house where the monster was said to have been born. Another was a pile of horse skulls attributed to the Jersey Devil (He gets blamed for unexplainable incidents).

One story had him dining & discussing politics with some local politician. The writer failed to tell the Jersey Devil's political opinions.

Not really, I can't say I was really fond of cryptozoology until recently

I know, I was into it as a kid until I got more curious and started doing some more research finding out how much bullshit most crypid theories people have to say. XD Trey the Explainer re-interested me in the subject with his really cool, science-based attitude. Ever since I am making cryptid pics for his videos.

Another cryptid! And one of the cooler ones too!

I love the fetus direction you took. Emphasizes its disturbing origin better. And I'm glad you made it look so misshapen and gangly. I always found it boring and ridiculous when people design the Jersey Devil as a huge buff guy. Especially when the famous illustration of it looks more like a surreal demon out of the Ars Goetia.

I would say reptilian monsters are. Fetus creatures are just fun to do.

Though I do remember from some of the documentaries that look at this creature, there was two people that said they were related to this monster. Though that does raise some suspicious questions. And if this monster was found what kind of mammal would this be classified as?

KingsOfEvilArt In reply to tcr11050 [2016-11-29 21:00:48 +0000 UTC]

I don't think that zoological classifications would incorporate  anything with six limbs XD

Unless someone during the 1730s had found a secret way to create hybrid animals.

BTW You might want to read Basilisk by Graham Masterton, it's kind of based on that idea.

I guess if someone found that secret it would have been in ancient times, not in 1730s.
