certainly looks like could have been inspired by that movie series. He even reminds me a bit of one of Pinhead's subordinates, the man in round glasses although his injuries are a bit tamer. xP 

Also, Pinhead's voice is very memorable.

And THAT, dear kids, is why Lapis does not watch horror movies >.< Too many brain buttons being pressed, and my brain is not a very stable and reliable thing to begin with >.<

Sure, it's a bit obvious

Still not every horror movie, I think the old ones, like from 80s especially were much better because of the visceral looking practical effects, I am generally more fond of them than CGI but its especially evident in horror movies where the feeling that some entity is so painfully added in post-production completely ruins the fear value... 

Still, some more modern ones also had great influence over me, like 2002 The Ring. ^^

 - fear value (note: especially fond of this one)

Mmmmhm Truth be told, I can see what you mean. Though to me, most of what keeps me from horrors is the fact that gore plays far too much of a role in them usually. Even when it isn't in the loath-rror genre that resorts to just loathsomeness rather than actual fear and terror, there's still much of that.... and truth be told, for a black metaller dark evil Satanist, my perceptions are surprisingly sensitive for gore.... Otherwise, I could appreciate the good ummm.... *looks up at vocabulary* fear value. I really can.

Oh, The Ring. This keeps popping up around my life, brushing about the outer rim bush foliage alluringly, but I still resist curiosity's temptation
