Description Progeny of the Other Gods, that hasn't reached proper age yet. In the outer space of Dreamlands these seem to be as common as rats. on Earth however, the'd be much more rarely encountered, but Dark Young of Shub Niggurath and Whateley Twins would seemingly get into that category.

"Never before had he known what shapeless black things lurk and caper and flounder all through the aether, leering and grinning at such voyagers as may pass, and sometimes feeling about with slimy paws when some moving object excites their curiosity. These are the nameless larvae of the Other Gods, and like them are blind and without mind, and possessed of singular hungers and thirsts."

H.P. Lovecraft, Dream-Quest Of Unknown Kadath

This is true.

According to Peterson's guide, they may caper across interstellar space and a few descend to some world, become terrestrial and walk around there for some aeons, and maybe someday take to the void again, to seek out the throne of Azathoth and join the dance !

Hmmm. That's something Β I am opposed to. They were never mentioned to live in "normal" space, only Dreamland's one. We know that the Dreamland's space is much more life-friendly, As you can fly it on a giant bird or even sail it with a ship.

Therefore I doubdt that Larvae would survive just as easily in Waking World outer space. They are so common there that I am thinking Dreamlands space might be kind of Β spawning ground for them, where their young find suitable environment.

Yup. The Dreamlands are a lot creepier than people give it credit for. That may be me, because I'm adapting the novel into a twelve issue comic script, but Kadath is a GREAT novel.

Yes, out of lovecrafts work it's one of my favourites. But I like very much stories of journays trough strange words. I've recently seen quite funny movie from early eighties "Time Bandits" have you seen it?

Maybe watch it now. It's quuite fun, not as much as Monty Python's other works but it isn't really a commedy either. More of fantasy movie with some comedic eements and a lot of surreaism

Nawet fajnie to wygląda. Zawsze, kiedy u Lovecrafta napotyka się coś "bezkształtnego", można spokojnie przypuszczać, że ma gdzieś jakieś macki

Yep, but what's most ironic, Lovecraft himself, a creator of all those seemingly hentai like gods was absolute asexual.xD

I don't think that's true. I believe his wife said he was rather impressive under the bedsheets...

He was very asexual, but when he got married, he read up on the duties of a husband and even a book on sex for those not used to it...at least, that's what his wife wrote.

I was surprised, too...to learn that such a person as himself looked up how to...erm...go under the bedsheets. Gotta give him credit, though. He tried!

Well not so surprising to tell the truth. I mean it's more expectable than that he would know whot to do with sheer intuition like most people xD
