Connecting a snake with the very name Melek Taus, the image says it all. Remember that in the Middle East where the Yazidis originally belong, the snake is a very despicable piece of animal and the incarnate image of The Prince of Darkness, so likening their god with a snake is a grave insult. Also because it is fits precisely into an old tradition in the region, for times immemorial the Yazidis have been treated with contempt as "devilworshipers".
