Seeing this just got me an idea. Can you make a birthday pony game? As in, each month is a situation, and each date is a pony, and whatever your birthday is you'll being be in that situation with that pony. You can draw a pony on each date like a standard calendar with the numbers on the top left corner, and on the side would be a rectangle shape with the month name and a picture of two background ponies or blank ponies doing or being in it's situation, like 'You get stuck on an island with X' it would be two plain ponies sitting on an island, etc.
Would that be fun?

Ok.. here is an example: Let's say you want to be an electrical engineer. Without the ability to accurately describe an electromagnetic field in a 3-D space, you won't be able to build even a power supply unit (this also includes the power distribution devices inside your computer/TV/videogame console...) This is where multi level integrals and differentials (or calculus in general) come in handy.
There are also used in physics, biology and medicine just to name a few.
Of course, most people do not aim for a career in the fields of science or modern technology, but it is an obligation of the schools to prepare every student for every possibility. This way everyone has at least a chance.

I once had to use algebra when I designed a spaceship for a fanfic I wrote long long ago in a galaxy far far away...
BTW, people, if you're thinking of becoming a medical doctor, calculus is a REQUIRED course (it's vital when calculating medication doses, among other things).

Math is very broad term
and some of the most annoying things from school is definitely not needed for programming

yeah, because differential equations needs some derivative, and in this case it's... well I don't really know in this context, there is some informations missing ^^ but it seems to have a link with some coordinates, so maybe with curves, or functionsΒ Β
