The sunset visible from the Temple of Poseidon in Sounio, Greece, is said to be the most beautiful- and I agree. This long abandoned sanctuary stands atop a cliff looking out onto the sea and land around it.
Taking this picture it felt like the two were long time friends. The sun has set on this temple in its days of glory and has seen it fall into disuse. And the temple, now old but still elegant, continues to have this stunning view of the simple spectacle of a setting sun.
I may be sentimental, but I've always adored sunsets. So I hope you enjoy this as much as I did!

It was truly amazing! There were crowds of people just waiting to see the sun set here, taking picture or just sitting and enjoying the view. It was a wonderful experience
