(super sculpey)I'm not very happy with it. This is the second sculpture I try to do and I did not it right. All limbs broke after each cooking and the head cracked. I wondered if it would be worth the effort to finish it but I thought that it would make sense to have a "time marker" to compare with a next sculpture. The result is very rough but my frustration level was too high to not post ^^'.

Clay firing is tricky. Mind the temperatures.
The little figure turned out very nice.

Absolutely ! It was my usual oven and I wanted to avoid overcooking because of toxic vapours. I was trying to respect the good temperature but I think it was not cooked enough :/ . I also think that the metal frame was not solid enough.

That can happen.
Lots of science involved in turning clay into ceramics.
Seen a few ceramic artists sweating the firing process.
I was told a lot can go wrong during the cool down cycle.
Like metal working.......quenching the metal wrong will make a blade become brittle as glass.
It is a very nice figurine. I just love his letβs get it on look.

Yep, ceramic requires specific skills and experience to anticipate the result and the behaviour of the materials ( the sculpture will be retracted for example ). I need to do more tests.
