DearGod, am i proud of this one!?
my favourite male and female characters from HP. my little brunette bookworms. ....why i'm attracted to this type i don't know. ^u^;

The Story behind this is that Hermione suddenly realised that there was a fact she didn't know, a question she didn't have the answer to *shock-horror* and so she rushed off to the library to right this terrible wrong. XD...only to find that she couldn't locate this elusive fact. And so Prof.Lupin, seeing her plight, has solved the problem with his extensive nerdy knowledge of Hogwarts library (from his school days)
...except that well...hermione is definately not 13 here, and so Lupin is tecnically not a teacher anymore. maybe he just happened to ba at hogwarts for a visit. woops.

This painting has taken me the longest of any i've done yet...and not just because i started back in July. n__n; i drew the sketch then and coloured about half of it, but then school got in the way and i've only just found the time to finishe it. but yeah...it was many hours. but i'm really pleased with the result.
it looks abit weird to me sometimes when i add realistic elements into a cartoony style. but yeah, i just love working with light. btw. nothing in this is meant to be straight or level. it's hogwarts, it's all magic!
and no matter how hard i try i cant draw older people, Lupin looks too young again. T^T
oh and i was going to colour those books in the forground bookshelves, but it was getting to colourful...i like the brown theme, and also to distracting. and no, i do not think i made Hermione too pretty. she can turn out hot, ok.
