Aaaaaand here we go! I made a quick mockup cover if this was an actual mango. Should give you a decent enough idea of what this all will be about. If I ever make this into a real thing I'll do a proper one of course.
The theme of the comic is fat fetish and society and all the challenges that you have to face when these clash. It's about self acceptance and compromise and pondering whether being true to yourself is worth it in the end or not.
Focus on realistic-ish weight gain journey and relationships in a very fat-negative society.

Depends on how willing one is to ignore society's frowns. And, from my perspective, it's always better to be true to yourself. It may not be fun, but the self esteem is priceless.

Very excited about this. During the first announcement, I assumed that No Lunch Break! would bear similar patterns to spinoff stories of other weight gain writers.
Writers which decide to retread the same ground with new characters, as the original got too fat for any further gaining to be significantly noticable.
The premise for this is something else. Meals with Sister had some sociological impacts of weight gain within, which were a big part of its appeal. Seeing that basically becoming the main focus really has me looking forward to your work.

I'm genuinely excited about this because your art and story telling has improved EXPONENTIALLY since the first chapter of "-- with Sister." You've branched so much out of the "Beginner's anime style" to something all your own and I am loving it. I may actually do fan art of these characters, they seem much more real in a way? Don't get me wrong, I love the original girls, but this looks more mature? Almost slice of life.

Huh. This sounds a good bit more serious than I expected from the author of "Breakfast with Sister". I'm not sure if I should be glad KipTeiTei's expanding his horizons or worried that he'll fumble this and not try to branch out again (and also "No Lunch Break" would be of fumbled quality).
