There is no so many portraits of Akkarin out there but this is without a doubt the best i've seen so far. The Black Magician Trilogy was really great I don't understand why there is no more people making fan arts about these books.

And this pic is just a masterpiece. I read the books only for Akkarin, and when the author made him good and in love I just wanted to cry and never finished the third book. He's my fave character ever, so intimidating, cold and reasonable. And how he scares our beautiful little girl...
And this fanart does give him justice just for once.

This is, honestly, the best picture of Akkarin that will ever exist.
One might say he looks a tad too young and "soft", but every doubt ceases when I look at those eyes. This. Is. Akkarin. The shadows around his eyes. The darkness in his gaze. I read the books for the first time back in 2008 and am rereading them now out of a flash ob nostalgia. For the past week, I've been staring at this picture countless times. For minutes, sometimes, and in the end, I have tears in my eyes. Looking closely, one can even see hints of da dark sadness in his eyes.
I can't even begin to describe the emotions this wakes in me.
This is a masterpiece and I will never, ever need to look at another picture of him.

Over the years I've been looking now and then for a decent pic but never found one that came close to my idea of Akkarin, but yours is just perfect.
The BMT are among my favourite books and you'd make me very very happy if one day you did another pic like that o.o If you don't I'll seriously have to consider paying you for it...

I really enjoyed those books, at first. It got a bit..odd when they started going out and all that but I still enjoyed hte idea. Glad to see some nice fanart of him for once hur hur hur XD there is very little out there

The first time I got my hands on the trilogy I read them all with no breaks and by the time I was done my eyes were blood shot from fatigue and crying!
And yes you are right, the ending was not how I had hoped it would be, though I understand why Trudi Canavan did it
