well i posted that comment before we found out that old man capaldi is the 12th doctor and a lot of whovians on FB r theorizing that john hurt represents the forgotten version of the 8th doctor that regenerated from the 7th doctor before paul mcgann was introduced before the series went on hiatus

Still won't change the official numbering regardless of Day of the Doctor anymore than Handy or the "Morbius Doctors"
