BIO

He is a frog of many different names, mostly derogatory ones including, but not limited to; “worthless”, “a failure”, and “Little Sap”. But no name has ever truly stuck with him until he met his newfound friend Ceylon, who decided to dub him the acronym of D.B. — which stood for one of the numerous nicknames he had been given; being “dat boy”.

Not much is known about D.B., as not only he refuses to talk about his past, but he also has no recollection of his initial birthplace. However, he was born of a drug addicted mother and lived his early childhood neglected and eventually abandoned on the streets in the ghetto part of Zootropolis, Scarletnape. The rest of his years residing in Zootropolis City are especially hard for him to talk about since that is where his times of belittlement have taken place. He also seems to have a difficult time viewing Mr. Cattarhini’s Wondrous Circus in a positive light, despite it being Ceylon’s favorite place. Though, he still performs his tricks on the streets alongside Ceylon so he could finally be accepted into society one day, and to gain the love he never had been given throughout his fifteen years of being alive.

In terms of personality, D.B. is a clumsy perfectionist who wants to get every performance he does on the streets with Ceylon right, in fear of failure. While he hates the very idea that he isn’t doing a good job at his tricks, he is still used to people telling him that he had messed up.

Ceylon is the only light that encourages him to keep going because he motivates and supports him unlike anyone else in his life. And because he has never had a true family, D.B. very much sees the rest of the Bereaved Believers as his found family. Sadly though, because D.B. grew up with a serious lack of an affectionate caretaker and little to no friends, he often has a hard time understanding genuine kindness; and as consequence, he also lacks empathy towards others as well.
