Description
Another one of the treasure boxes I burned as Christmas presents, this one being for my mom. She loves the patterns of various wild animals, with zebra stripes being her favorite. Luckily I remembered to take before and after shots of all the boxes this time around, unlike a few years ago when I forgot to get a "before" pic of this cute little guy. I just really like to see the comparison.All of these boxes were bought premade which I then sanded, burned, and then stained in a Danish oil finish.

Thank you! Woodburning is generally done with what is called a "pyrography pen". It's a device that heats up quite hot, and when you touch it to wood, it burns it darker but is not enough to set it on fire or anything! You can draw on wood by burning it just as you draw on paper with a pen C:
