The wreck in Karpathos island. We spent 14 hour in the place being molested by the winds and sea water but we didn't want to press our luck making the one mile trek multiple times since we were violating military ground by being there. At the end of this adventure all the equipment was covered in brine and I could literally make my trousers stand straight up when I took them off at the room we were renting
This was shot just when the full moon past the field of view of the lens. That rendered useless any long exposure therefore this is a stack of 1300 shots

PS : when you say "stack of 1300 shots"... do you mean you made 1300 shots of 2min with 1min between each ? Stacking the whole stuff must have been very long for your computer, as D3S nef files are that smaller

it is 2 seconds not minutes with an interval of 1 second. 1300*2min would be 43 hours.
I did the startrails shot in jpg but it can be done in NEF as well it just takes more computing time.

As a KirlianCamera tribute (lol), I've tried a little bit tonight on 50 shots, to understand the stacking process, and merged the pictures with StarStax, but unfortunately the result is not as good as i wanted it to be. Do you have any suggestion of a better software ?

Astoundingly breathtaking!! Also good example of showcasing the true power that lies hidden in a 50mm f/1.4 at 6400 ISO.
Allso the fact that were and how you shot it I have a lot of respect for hehe, sometimes we have to take that risk in nature or wild in this insatnce too get our shot we want, we sit and wait and capture our prey (exposure).

extraordinary...i've seen a lot of polaris effect photos, being a real fan of the genre, but this one goes to my favorites simply because of the amount of work that went in to the making of it

There is something timeless and sad about this photo compilation. It could speak very easily of the passage of time, the power of decay, and even the brevity of mankind's systems on earth... The monochrome adds to the impact, to the cold feeling of the image...
