Download for fullview.Chose to color this one out of five recent Hetalia doodles. Honestly, I'm not quite sure why this pairing intrigues me so much. There are Russia's friendly overtures with China though, and China occasionally being all "... YOU'RE SUSPICIOUS ." Was actually penciling Russia while watching the VP debate Thursday night. Didn't get much progress with it then, what with having to leave the room every so often for Palin-breaks.
Tried to go for symbolism (Russia pinning down China's robe with its national flower... could be considered a diplomatic gesture but hay thar ambiguity). Unfortunately I've discovered that I really can't draw sunflowers. Too many mutations make for really bad references.

Russia is quite the poster-boy for tragedy--it's sad, and yet awesome at the same time. China could probably give him a run for his money, but China's also older than dirt, so... |D;
