absolutely. In death poems you often find this kind of metaphor that refers to flowers, rain, river and so on...as you said, all these things are the symbols of the transient nature of life.

I feel bad for Takeda Katsuyori (no one was ever going to live up to Shingen's legacy) but I feel even worse for the wives of these men, powerlessly tied to them even as they crashed and burned.
The poem really shows how young she was, and as always, you've rendered it beautifully.
