Misty doesn't have much of a fanbase in japan anyway. so if not serena he'll just end up with dawn. I've just accepted our orangeshipping overlords.

Orangeshipping? Oh is that Tracey and Misty? Haha you know that just makes no sense story wise and in Misty's case since she clearly likes Ash but they are trying to brush it under the rug like all of their Pokeshipping hints meant nothing. I know how Pokemon was supposed to end after Mewtwo Strikes back. And Pokemon 2000 was practically Pokeshipping galore. Lol but I'm not mad just disappointed in the series.

It's because most people over there just want the stereotypical "childhood" friend twirl around in circles for no reason and dresses up all pretty all the time to win Ash over. Over here, most people find that annoying.
But, if not but Misty, I would rather it be Dawn or May but I highly doubt it. Stupid stuff like this is what made me create my own manga that is inspired by the characters in Pokemon. I'm halfway done with it. I hope you'll want to read it once it's complete
