wow how embarrassing would it be if i couldn't meet the deadline for my own event amg

As per usual - terrible title but that's the only thing I could think of ack

The KS AU came about months ago when I made a mental comparison on the relationship between Kes and Casper and Ciel and Sebastian. Somehow it stuck for me and Mellos kept us entertained with a few crack exchanges on skype haha

Anyway, Kes' contract mark is located between his shoulder blades where his wings come out. It's nicely hidden away and it's also kinda located somewhere that would require Kes to be quite vulnerable in order to see it (since he actually has to turn his back on whoever's looking at it).
Kes' household I imagine would be mid-aristocratic and his family would own a giant publishing business that deals with mainly newspapers. If he still had to deal with the whole 'from a freakshow' thing I suppose he summoned Casper there to escape? Bleh I should stop overthinking AUs haha

Regardless, the two always get into fights because Casper never serves tea on time at teatime lol

Casper's outfit was based on his current app, hence the doesnt-actually-look-like-a-cravat cravat sob
Kes' was based on his casual outfit's trenchcoat.

It took me so many tries to get a pose I liked! Finally ended up at this one and wanted to try out a digital copic colouring technique to mimic the original covers as much as possible. I took colours off a few copic colour charts and followed this awesome tut (link below!) so it looked traditional
The hardest part about mimicking mangaka copic work is when to use the white. Mangaka seem to take advantage of the white paper for highlights and shine and wow can I just say respect to all you copic users out there, it was already hard enough digitally!
